On the success of the first HP OMEN CHALLENGE, the tournament returned on October 31st, 2015 to coincide with one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world - Paris Game week, where the show was live broadcast. Hosting two new teams - Team Solomid and Epsilon, a new, even more intense set of tortures were designed to push the teams further than ever before.
Taking learnings from the first tournament, everything about HP OMEN CHALLENGE II was more extreme. Both from a creative and technical perspective, the audience were allowed to vote on every challenge, with YouTube Influencers taking to the chambers between games. We included a second stream to broadcast live to Paris; the challenges themselves were more intense, all rigorously tested to push each player to their limits; 30+ cameras including a 360 view.
All of the creative enhancements and heightened responsiveness to game-play meant the technical infrastructure needed to be unbreakable. And again the tournament was a huge success for HP, Smite, Twitch.tv and the audience - all without a technical hitch.
After the success of HP OMEN CHALLENGE I B-Reel Creative were heavily involved in the creative development of the second tournament. Again we were then responsible for all of the digital and live broadcast production.
